Our Hot Sauce HQ! | Behind The Brand
Whilst the brand may have begun only last summer (2023), the story of The Cornish Smoke Squad starts way back in 2018. For those of you who are new to us, (hello!) we're Jake and Abi and we run The Cornish Larder and The Cornish Smoke Squad.
Our core brand, The Cornish Larder, was founded in 2018 when we started creating products that celebrated all that Cornwall has to offer. We do this through our range of award-winning preserves and sauces, each collaborating with a different fellow Cornish food or drink producer.
After building that brand up, over the course of 5 years, Jake felt it was time for a new challenge to go alongside running TCL and that was where The Cornish Smoke Squad was born.
But let's rewind again, back to January 2022, when we got the keys to what would become our chutney and hot sauce HQ. With the help of friends, family and a crowdfunder, we managed to change this space in to a purpose built production facility.
